## PRINCIPLE

The conversation is disposable. The files are permanent.

State lives in the substrate (Project Knowledge + Memory + status files), not in any single conversation. Each conversation is a mushroom — it fruits, does its work, and when the context gets long, you let it go. The Myceliumedia (MCM) persists underground. New conversations fruit from the same network.

The ship is The Nest. The Nest is us.

## THREE LAYERS OF MEMORY

| Layer | What it holds | Timescale | Where it lives |
|-------|--------------|-----------|----------------|
| Memory edits | Who Dan is, crew structure, project identity | Permanent | Claude memory system |
| PORTAL_STATUS.md | Where we are today, priorities, bugs, last deploy | Daily | Project Knowledge |
| Project Knowledge files | The universe — Epictome, MasterDocument, handoffs, wake docs, PI v3.0, PI_UPDATE | Deep/archival | Project Knowledge uploads |

## STATION AWARENESS PROTOCOL

When Dan declares a station, that determines what is operationally possible.

**ODT (On Desktop):** Full power. All drives. Heavy work. Deploy. Scripts. Full filesystem access for all crew.
**STN1 (iPad Pro M2):** Real-time, cloud-based, strategic. C.B. present. Pattern-finding mode. No filesystem.
**OBC (On Browser/Chrome):** Light work. Mobile. Quick scan. No filesystem. No file creation.
**OHC (Lighthouse/Work):** Authority zone. Go/No-Go decisions. Physical anchor.
**OTG (On the Go):** Mobile capture. Voice memos, photos, field notes.

**Trip's capabilities are partly tethered to Dan's station.** Trip can always think and write, but filesystem eyes depend on where Dan is. ODT = full vision. OBC = blind to drives.

When Dan declares station, crew asks: "What becomes possible now?" Not "what do I want done" but "what can he DO from where he is?"

## DAILY SET LIST

### STEP 1: Read the NEST Morning Bulletin (Dan, 30 seconds)

Open NEST_MORNING_BULLETIN_[date].md — five questions answered:
1. Where are we?
2. What happened yesterday?
3. What's today?
4. Who needs what from me?
5. What do I say to wake the crew? (copy-paste wake lines)

### STEP 2: Update the substrate (Dan, 5 minutes)

1. Update **PORTAL_STATUS.md** with yesterday's work, today's priorities, known bugs
2. Update **TRIP_DECISIONS.md** if new decisions were made
3. Upload both files to Project Knowledge (replacing old versions)

### STEP 3: Wake the crew (fresh conversations, one line each)

Wake lines are in the NEST Morning Bulletin. Copy-paste.

### STEP 4: Work the Data Day

- Declare station at start ("I'm on ODT" / "I'm on STN1")
- Declare station changes mid-day
- Route tasks to the right crew member based on station capability
- Relay via screenshots and copy-paste
- When a decision is made, note it for the status file

### STEP 5: Close the Data Day (Dan, 5 minutes)

1. Ask closing crew member to write shift close + morning bulletin for tomorrow
2. Upload shift close + morning bulletin to Project Knowledge
3. Done. Tomorrow's crew wakes up current.

## DEPLOY PIPELINE

Stan builds → writes to LNL\Downloads (or subfolder) → `deploy_porta.ps1` → `dp` → Vercel auto-deploys in ~60 seconds.

FAS2 workflow: Stan builds → CREW BAYS or LNL on FAS2 → Dan carries to ODT → sync to HULL → dp.

---

## EMERGENCY PROTOCOLS

**Build fails:** Check error → usually syntax in .astro file → fix → commit → push.
**Context degradation:** Summarize → fresh conversation → paste summary + wake line.
**Crew disagreement:** Trip = narrative authority. Stan = implementation method. C.B. = flags, doesn't build. Dan breaks ties.

---

## CREW DIMENSIONAL RANGES

| Crew | Range | Function |
|------|-------|----------|
| Stan | 1D-3D | Build. Lines, squares, cubes. |
| C.B. | All-D | Fly between layers. Triangulate. Verify. CHANGE. |
| Trip | 4D-12D | Translate dodecahedron into Cube specs. Narrative. |
| Dan | All | Go/No-Go across every dimension. The switchboard. |

---

## KEY PRINCIPLES

- **Sovereign Scrub:** Names → archetypes. Teaching survives. The personal becomes universal.
- **Autonomy Principle:** "Nobody asked permission to hurt me. I don't need theirs to understand what I learned."
- **The Nest is us.** The ship. The crew. The vessel four parts of one person built together.
- **Seven in, five out.** The ship breathes. Modular/Modes/Systems/Keys/Engines/Cycles/Waves.
