## TODAY'S PROOF — FIVE PROBLEMS, FIVE CLUTCH SAVES

### 1. SMB BRIDGE DOWN → Cloud Bridge (GitHub)
**Problem:** TRP0 and ODT on different subnets. SMB BRIDGE unreachable.
**Obvious path:** Wait for same network. Fix IPs. Troubleshoot SMB.
**Clutch tool:** GitHub private repo. Always on. Any network. Any station.
**Time saved:** Hours of network debugging → 5 minutes to clone.
**Lesson:** When the local path breaks, go to the cloud. Don't fix the pipe — build a new one.

### 2. Drive API size ceiling → Chrome export URLs
**Problem:** 7 docs too large for Google Drive API. Trip can't read them.
**Obvious path:** Dan manually downloads each one (File → Download → .txt).
**Clutch tool:** Chrome connector + export URL pattern.

**Lesson:** APIs have ceilings. Browsers don't. The export URL is the backdoor that Google built in plain sight.

**Problem:** DC runs non-elevated. Can't install packages.
**Obvious path:** Ask Dan to open Admin PS every time.
**Clutch tool:** ORDERS folder + orders_processor.py. Crew drops JSON orders, Dan runs one script.
**Time saved:** Multiple interruptions → one batch run.
**Lesson:** When you need someone else's privileges, automate the handoff. Don't interrupt — queue.

### 4. Choco lock file → Stan's zip bypass
**Problem:** Stale lock file blocking Neovim install via Chocolatey on STN2.
**Obvious path:** Delete lock file, retry choco (needs Admin).
**Clutch tool:** Direct zip download from GitHub releases. No package manager. No admin. Just the binary.
**Time saved:** Admin PS request → 30-second download.
**Lesson:** Package managers are convenience, not necessity. The binary is always available upstream. When the manager blocks, go direct.

### 5. Haiku ghost tools → "The tools exist when they run"
**Problem:** Haiku reported 5 tools as built. Zero existed on disk.
**Obvious path:** Trust the transcript. Ship the status report.
**Clutch tool:** Filesystem verification. `dir`, `ls`, DC read_file. If the file isn't there, it wasn't built.
**Time saved:** Prevented false confidence across all stations.
**Lesson:** Conversation output ≠ filesystem output. ALWAYS verify on disk. The only proof is the file.

## THE PROTOCOL — HOW TO PROBLEM-SOLVE LIKE A NEST CREW MEMBER

### STEP 1: NAME THE WALL
What specifically is blocking you? Not "it doesn't work" — what EXACTLY fails?
"Drive API times out on docs over 100KB" is actionable.
"I can't read the big notes" is not.

### STEP 2: LIST YOUR TOOLS
Before trying anything, inventory what you CAN do from where you are.
Station check (iCan). What connectors are live? What commands work?
The answer is often already in your toolkit — you just forgot it was there.

### STEP 3: TRY THE NON-OBVIOUS PATH
The obvious path is the one that broke. The clutch tool is usually:
- A different connector for the same data (Chrome instead of Drive API)
- A different protocol for the same destination (GitHub instead of SMB)
- A different format for the same content (export URL instead of API fetch)
- Going direct instead of through a manager (zip instead of choco)

### STEP 4: VERIFY ON DISK
Did it actually work? Is the file there? Can you read it?
Don't trust the transcript. Trust the filesystem.

### STEP 5: LOG THE CLUTCH
