## THE THESIS

The hippocampus is a story-processing machine.

Not a metaphor. A mechanistic description of how the brain encodes, consolidates, and retrieves
experience. Narrative is not decoration layered on top of memory — it is the compression algorithm
the brain actually runs. Every system the NEST has built from intuition is a structural
